Extending an upscale brand 


Roots is a luxury interior design company imagined by Briefbox. Provided with a creative brief, a timescale of five days, and some example creative direction, I created a brand and extended it across a number of deliverables including a website, a stationary suite, and a brochure. The monochromatic design and simple typography are meant to take a backseat to the photography.  

I began by exploring the sturdy but expensive look outlined in the creative brief. The typefaces used on the project style tile are classical with angular character. I carried through a minimalist branching line motif meant to evoke a root system. These lines run through both the digital and printed material. They are used as timelines, framing devices, and diagrammatic elements.
